Use Orca

Ask for focused writing or LaTeX help and review every proposed source change.

Orca can rewrite selected text, answer project-level questions, and help diagnose LaTeX errors. Select text for a focused rewrite, open Orca for a broader request, or send a diagnostic from the Problems panel.

Orca is available to project owners and full-project editors when AI access and quota are available. It is not available to viewers, commenters, file-scoped editors, or Try workspaces.

Review before applying#

Orca presents source changes as patches. Nothing changes until you accept a patch, and you can reject any proposal. Save a named version before making a broad request.

Protect sensitive work#

A project-level request may send relevant project source—not only selected text—to the configured model provider or connected agent. Use it only when you are comfortable sharing that project context. Feedback reports do not automatically include prompts, responses, patches, or document content. For smaller tasks, compare academic writing tools.
