Version history and recovery
Inspect, name, restore, copy, or download earlier project states.
CorTeX creates automatic versions during active work, generally every 5–10 minutes, and lets owners and full-project editors save named versions at important milestones. Open Project actions → Version history to compare a version with the live project or another version. Text files show diffs; binary files show that they changed.
Pick the right recovery action#
Save a named version before a submission or broad edit.
- Restore makes the selected version current as a new history entry; it does not erase later history.
- Copy to new project creates a separate project from the selected version and leaves the current project unchanged.
- Download exports the selected version as a portable ZIP.
Restore carefully#
These whole-project actions require owner or full-project editor access. Confirm the selected version and changed-file summary, especially while coauthors are active. For everyday organization, see Manage files and folders.
