Manage your account and subscription

Review identity, language, plans, billing changes, personal API access, sign-out, and account deletion.

On this page

Account settings separate identity, plan and billing, personal API access, and experimental features. For a payment question, open Settings → Plan and billing. For identity, language, or deletion, open Settings → Account. The settings screen shows the current prices, actions, and limits; an old release note or screenshot may no longer match your account.

Open the relevant settings section#

Choose Settings from the account menu, then select:

  • Account for the signed-in Google identity, interface language, and account deletion;
  • Plan and billing for Free, Standard, Pro, billing cycle, and subscription state;
  • API key for eligible personal model access;
  • Labs for opt-in experimental writing features.

Settings opens over the current workspace. Closing it returns to the open file, and the browser Back action leaves settings from the current section.

Review a plan change before approving it#

In Settings → Plan and billing, the comparison marks the current plan and shows only targets currently offered for the account's billing provider.

  1. Select Monthly or Annual, then select the target plan.
  2. Read the exact button, for example Change to Standard for …, and confirm the currency, amount, renewal timing, and explanation below it.
  3. Choose the button. If Continue with PayPal appears, complete that approval; an upgrade may require a separate approval for the remaining-period difference.
  4. Return to Plan and billing. A completed change shows the new current or scheduled plan. Confirm the new recurring plan, Complete the separate PayPal approval, or a manual-review message means the operation is not yet complete.

Use the same comparison for a downgrade. The screen states the plan and amount that will take effect at the next renewal. A canceled or refused provider flow returns with an explicit result; cancellation before approval makes no change and incurs no charge.

Some plan changes or provider callbacks can remain pending or under manual review. Return to Plan and billing to resume or inspect the same pending change rather than beginning another purchase. Do not assume that closing a provider tab canceled an operation.

Before downgrading or canceling, review plans, storage, and project limits. To stop renewal, choose Cancel subscription under the current plan. Wait until the renewal line says Ends on … No further charges. A PayPal account may instead show that cancellation is still being confirmed; do not treat that state as complete. Resume subscription reverses a scheduled cancellation when the action remains available. Cancellation preserves the already paid period and schedules the account to return to Free at the end of that period.

Protect account access#

Production sign-in uses the verified Google account shown in Account. Signing out revokes the current CorTeX session. If the Google account may be compromised, secure it with Google's account controls, then reconnect only trusted external agents or personal API credentials.

Standard and Pro can be eligible for a personal API key. Adding a key does not change which project files a collaborator may access; AI requests still follow the project and requester entitlement rules. Review AI data and privacy before sending restricted research source.

Delete only after exporting work#

Account deletion is destructive. Export every owned project and record required billing evidence first. Confirm that collaborators have transferred or copied work they need; deleting the owner account removes owned projects and revokes sessions, billing credentials, and connected-agent access as the deletion finishes. Payment records or backups that must be retained for legal, security, or recovery purposes follow the current Privacy Policy; account deletion does not promise immediate removal of every legally retained copy.

After exporting, open Settings → Account → Delete account and choose Delete my account…. Select one offered timing: At the end of the paid period, Now, after a refund, or Now, giving up the rest. A blocked option explains what must happen first. Read the warning, then choose Delete my account.

A future deletion is complete when Account shows Scheduled for … and Keep my account; that button cancels the scheduled deletion. An immediate deletion is complete only when the account session ends and the account can no longer be used. If the screen still shows a pending or failed operation, use that state rather than submitting repeated requests. Before leaving, check that the displayed identity and plan are correct and that each payment change is shown as complete, scheduled, or pending. Keep your project exports before any destructive account action. If you are keeping the account but changing capacity, return to Plans, storage, and limits before choosing a lower plan.
